Our goal is to empower students to become engaged, thoughtful citizens who can analyze the world around them with discernment and act with purpose. We cultivate learners who approach social studies by forming meaningful questions, gathering diverse perspectives, critically evaluating information, and developing well-reasoned conclusions that inform responsible action. Through this process, students develop the civic knowledge, analytical skills, and ethical dispositions necessary to participate effectively in our democratic society and an interconnected global community.

Our mission is to provide a comprehensive, inclusive history and social science education that empowers all students to become informed citizens and critical thinkers. We are committed to teaching democratic principles, incorporating diverse perspectives, and ensuring continuous instruction from pre-K through grade 12. By developing historical thinking skills, integrating knowledge across disciplines, and building research capabilities, we enhance students' literacy while preparing them to analyze current events with discernment. Through this approach, which embraces media literacy and modern analytical tools, we nurture engaged citizens who understand their place in history and their power to shape the future.
