Malden Students Participate in Global Scholars Program

Malden Public Schools is part of the Global Scholars international virtual exchange program. This program is for students ages 10 to 13 who live in cities around the world. Its defining feature is using technology to forge connections that drive learning—for students in online discussion boards, and for educators in live professional development. To date, nearly 127,000 students and 3,100 educators from 119 cities in 39 countries have participated. The program is free to students and schools.

This year, 276 middle-school students in 13 Malden classes are participating in the “Food, Cities, and Our Future” exchange alongside students from 44 cities around the world. During class, students have the opportunity to have dynamic interactions with other students from around the world about their learning related to this topic.
